In late December 2009, I (Courtney) got a crazy idea that a website wouldn't be a terrible thing to have. I mean, we could keep our family and friends updated on our day-to-day happenings while I'd have a permanent home in which to blog. Not bad, right? So I bought (cheaply) an internet domain (love will lead - http://www.lovewilllead.com) - to get this show up and running. Only one small problem: I have NO idea how to create a website of any decent caliber, let alone get a blog with photo capabilities up and running to boot. This site won't knock your socks off--I know the BARE basics of html and not a stitch more--but hopefully it will serve its purpose: providing our loved ones with updates and giving me a spot to air all my not-so-dirty laundry. :-)

So why "love will lead"? Well, love has led us to where we are now. Love will continue to lead us down every road we take as a family. I like that. I love it, actually. Some of my life has been traditional: I went to college after high school and found such a love of academia that I completed two MA degrees before my 24th birthday. Okay, so that was traditional, right? High school then straight off to college and on to grad school? I had a traditional job, too--prior to my current SAHM days, that is (but there's no better job in the world than that one, let me tell you!) Well, that's pretty much where "traditional" stops. (More on that later.) But overall, love has led me down every path I've taken. It led me (back) into the arms of my husband (we dated and split prior to dating again, getting engaged, and tying the knot), it led the world's sweetest little boy into my life, it led our family of three on the path to adopt our beautiful daughter from Guatemala, it led us to our precious "littlest" girl (through the blessing of open adoption), and finally, led us to our very fierce and amazing daughter  (who was in the foster care system in our state). Completed, completely. We believe, as a family, that anything rooted in love is beautiful and capable of blossoming.

I've been so beyond blessed. Here is my chance to share my blossoms with those we love. <3
